Sarah Pedlow makes textile-based sculpture, photographs and mixed media from daily life and travel, influenced by historical costume, traditional ethnic textiles, and contemporary experience.

Her study of written embroidery from Transylvania, Romania (via ThreadWritten Textiles) and 2016 residencies in Iceland and Oaxaca, Mexico influence her current practice.  She holds an MFA in Visual Arts from Rutgers University and a BA from Scripps College, Claremont, CA.  Her work has been exhibited in the US and Europe.
